28 Dec 2024 - BKK Day 6 (Bangkok): World’s Largest Gogowa Doll (Squid Game 2) on the Chao Phraya River

The first thing we did once we arrived at ICONSIAM was to look for the World’s Largest Gogowa (Young-hee) Doll.  The buzz surrounding "Squid Game 2" has reached a spectacular crescendo with a unique and eye-catching promotional event in Bangkok.

Netflix has deployed a massive rendition of the iconic "Gogowa" (Young-hee) doll from the "Squid Game" series onto the Chao Phraya River.  This floating spectacle serves as a grand promotional stunt for the highly anticipated "Squid Game 2."

The giant doll has been making appearances at iconic locations along the river, including the backdrop of Wat Arun and ICONSIAM.

The doll will be stationed at the ICONSIAM pier for a period of time, drawing large crowds.  The combination of the well-known doll, the Chao Phraya River, and the backdrop of Bangkok landmarks, creates a very visually compelling event.

We had a great night view of the Gogowa Doll and Chao Phraya River from ICONSIAM mall.
