After we were done with our shopping at Uniqlo Flagship Store in Ginza, we walked out to the street and noticed everyone was walking on the road! It seemed like the road was closed for all vehicles and it was converted to a pedestrian walking street.
After quick research on the internet, we realized Ginza Pedestrian Paradise is a unique feature of Tokyo's upscale Ginza district. On weekends, certain streets are closed to traffic, transforming the area into a pedestrian-friendly zone. This car-free oasis offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city, inviting visitors to leisurely stroll, window shop, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
