13 Dec 2019 - Dubai Day 3: Adventure to the Desert

I was told that the Evening Desert Safari is a must-do for any adventure seekers visiting Dubai.  As such, we had booked on this tour prior to flying into Dubai.  The tour guide picked us up  at our apartment lobby in a 4 wheel drive at about 2pm and took us out to explore the Arabian desert.  After about 45 minutes of drive, we arrived at the first checkpoint of the tour.

The moment we stepped out of the 4x4 jeep, it was mountain and sand all around us.  This was our first time stepping foot in a desert.

We were given about 30 minutes to roam around freely and capture breathtaking views of the desert.

The desert sand is so soft which makes it very difficult to walk on.  It's even harder to climb onto a sand dune.

While we were admiring the incredible desert views, the drivers were busy deflating the jeep tyres in preparation for the sand dune bashing.

As usual, we had our shadow shot and this time in a desert.

The temperature at that time was about 30+ degree and it was winter.  I cannot imagine how it'll feel during summer when the temperature goes up to more than 50 degree.
