13 Dec 2019 - Dubai Day 3: Sand Dune Drive and Sand Boarding

Our desert adventure continued with a thrilling 4x4 drive in a convoy over the sand dunes in the Arabian desert.

It felt like going on a roller coaster ride.  Some of the drops were pretty steep and at some point it was as though our jeep was about to flip over.  Javier, who tends to have motion sickness quite easily, could not take it and we had to stop for a break half way through the ride.  He's not the only one though as we saw quite a few other jeeps were also stopping.

After some rest, Javier felt a bit better and we continued the bumpy ride for another 10 minutes or so before we finally caught up with the rest and reached our next checkpoint.

Jerlene and myself tried the sand boarding which was pretty fun.  You may watch it in the video below.

The desert colour here was a bit different from the one we saw at the earlier checkpoint.  Nonetheless, the view was equally breathtaking.
