19 Dec 2019 - Cruise Day 9 (Abu Dhabi): Grand Mosque by Night

We got back to our coach and headed to the Wahat Al Karama memorial, dedicated to fallen soldiers. It is made up of 31 imposing aluminium-plated plaques.  The main objective of coming here was to have a spectacular view of the Grand Mosque, with a perfect reflection over the water.

We took tons of stunning photos here before returning to our tour bus.

We then headed to the centre of Abu Dhabi passing by the Emirates Palace Hotel, a true icon of Arab luxury

Our excursion ended with a stop for photos at the breakwall to capture the Abu Dhabi skyline.

We reached the cruise terminal at about 9:20pm.  This evening visit to the Grand Mosque was well worth the amount we paid and we had no regret missing the night show on board.  Highly recommended for anyone who plans to visit Abu Dhabi.
