18 Dec 2019 - Cruise Day 8 (Doha): Qatar National Day Airshow

We arrived at Cruise Pirs Doha Port, Qatar, early this morning.  We were not aware that today was actually Qatar National Day until we got notified yesterday for a change in timing of our shore excursion in Doha.

After breakfast, we were in for a pleasant surprise.  While enjoying the beautiful city skyline of Doha, we suddenly saw some aircraft zooming past the city at a very low altitude.  It was the morning Airshow by the Qataris Air Force to celebrate Qatar National Day.  And the best thing was, we had one of the best vantage point to watch it on the upper deck of our cruise.

After the airshow, we decided to get ourselves changed and relax at the outdoor warm jacuzzi pool.  Usually the pool is occupied but we came at the right time to be able to "own" the pool all to ourselves.  We actually did not realize that kids are not allowed in the jacuzzi pool until when we were about to leave, a staff came over to tell us.  :-)
