13 Dec 2019 - Dubai Day 3: Arabian BBQ Dinner and Shows in a Bedouin Style Camp

After the camel ride, we entered a Bedouin Style campsite where we will be having our Arabian BBQ dinner as well as some interesting performances.
There were stalls around the campsite selling all kinds of souvenirs.
Later we would be sitting at one of these low tables to have our dinner.
And right in the middle of the campsite is a stage where all visitors get to watch the performances during dinner.
As the BBQ dinner won't be ready until about an hour later, there were some Arabic snacks provided to temporary fill our stomach.  Also, there was free flow of soft drinks and Arabic coffee the moment we entered the camp till the end of the shows.
Seems like the buffet style Arabic BBQ dinner was about to start.
The first performance of the night was Tanoura Dance, an Egyptian folk dance as well as an important ritual of the celebration rituals performed on many occasions.  The dance is a rhythmic dance performed collectively by circular movements.  The word tanoura or tannoura refers to the colorful skirt worn by the whirler.
After the Tanoura Dance performance ended, we queued up to get our Arabian BBQ food.
While enjoying the food, the second performance started.  It's the popular Belly Dancing, which is an expressionist type of dance that originated in Egypt and that emphasizes complex movements of the torso.
It was a cool and amazing feeling to watch these performances under the moon and stars in a desert.
The finale was a thrilling Fire Dance which is a group of performance arts or skills that involve the manipulation of fire.  This was one of the best Fire performance that I've seen so far.
By the time all the performances ended, it was about 8pm.  We left the campsite and returned to our Jeep which drove us back to our apartment.
Below video captures the various performances in the campsite.
