Early this morning, we woke up in our cabin witnessing the sunrise in Abu Dhabi.
After our breakfast and the routine foosball matches, we decided to head back to WTC Mall and do some proper shopping.
Once again, we took the free shuttle from Abu Dhabi cruise terminal to the city center.
We spent some time exploring the outdoor roof garden. WTCAD is a fully integrated mixed-use development comprised of offices tower, residences tower, mall, souk and hotel Courtyard by Marriott, the site of WTC holds a special place in the capital's history as the location of the old Central Market – a 12-acre single-storey market that was the centre of all business and trading in the growing city.
Jerlene was having fun facing an adorable pigeon.
We then returned indoor and took a look inside a video arcade.
The wooden architecture is the main thing that makes WTC Mall unique.
While shopping in LuLu Hypermart's Departmental Store, Jerlene and Javier were having fun "decorating" me. :-)
There was a souk in the mall and it has everything from traditional artifacts, henna and spices to jewellery, Arabic perfumes, clothing and accessories.
Before returning to the ship, we bought quite a lot of local delights from LuLu Hypermarket to bring home as souvenirs.
