14 Dec 2019 - Cruise Day 4: First Look of Costa Diadema and our Oceanview Cabin
Once we reached Port Rashid Cruise Terminal, we were instructed to tag our luggage with the labels provided before passing to the terminal crews who would load them onto the ship. Then we entered the passenger terminal and there was a super long check in queue. It was almost an hour before it reached our turn to check in. We got to surrender our passports before boarding the ship. This was our first time going on a Costa cruise instead of our usual Royal Caribbean due to the cruise schedule. We were going on board Costa Diadema which is one of the latest addition to the Costa fleet.
After we boarded the ship, we went straight to our cabin. We had a pleasant surprise as we were upgraded from an Inside Cabin to an Oceanview Cabin which is slightly bigger with a large window.
This cabin comes with a double bed and two pullman bed.
One good thing about the cabin is that there are two separate showering cubicles. One with W.C. and one with a bathtub.
After we had a short rest in our cabin, we decided to do a little bit of exploration around the ship.
We ended up at Ristorante Lido (equivalent to Windjammer on Royal Caribbean), a self service restaurant where we grabbed some food and fruits.
We will be on board this ship for the next 7 days and will definite spend sometimes exploring the entire ship.
