The two days Kangaroo Island Adventure had come to an end. There were so many things to see and do on this island and two days is simply not enough to cover them all. Anyway, we checked out of our cabin early this morning as we need to catch the Sealink Ferry back to Australia mainland.
Soon after we reached the ferry terminal, we witnessed the ferry docking at the jetty and cars unloading. If you had read one of my earlier posts, there are two SeaLink Kangaroo Island Ferries currently operating. When we came two days ago, we were on the ferry called "Spirit of Kangaroo Island". Today we were on the other ferry called "SeaLion 2000". It can accommodate up to 375 passengers over two decks, and 50 cars, or 30 cars and 4 coaches on the vehicle deck. The weather today was fair, but the sea condition was very choppy. Both Jerlene and Javier felt appallingly seasick throughout the 45mins journey. I can see quite a number of other passengers feeling nauseous as well. All along Javier had motion sickness but this time was one of the worst. He was so sick that at one point, I thought he had "fainted" as he was not responding to me.
After we disembarked the ferry at Cape Jervis, we took a break at a nearby car park by the lighthouse before driving to our next destination. With this bad experience on the ferry, Jerlene and Javier had sworn that they will not go on any ferry in the future. So, I guess we will not be going to places such as Batam or Bintan as a family.
