Gibson Steps are just minutes away from the world-famous Twelve Apostles site. When we reached the steps, it was raining. So I got out of our car alone to snap some photos of the steps while the rest remained in the car.
Gibson Steps is a 86 steps stairways that provide one of the few access points to a beach along this cliff-dominated section of coast.
The beach is backed by a 20 to 30 m high, sheer limestone cliff. As it was raining at that time, there was no one on the beach.
Since we started this Great Ocean Road adventure from the west, Gibson Steps is the last stop for Port Campbell National Park. From here, we then drove to our accommodation for the night at a little town called Princetown.
