We did a search for cafes or restaurant around Meningie to have our dinner. However, we realized that most had already closed or about to close for the day. We checked with the Motel owner, and she recommended a restaurant called Freshies Cafe & Bar, which is about 2 minutes' drive away.
When we entered the restaurant, we realized most of the tables were reserved. Fortunately, there was a group of family with kids who gave up one high table for us after seeing us looking for seats. So nice of them.
We did not order too much as Jerlene still did not have much appetite.
Remember we did not manage to do cockling at Goolwa Beach earlier in the day due to rain? In order to make up for it, we ordered half dozens of Pipi (Goolwa Cockles) at this restaurant.
