While we were on our way to Hahndorf, we saw a sign board stating Beerenberg Strawberry Farm ahead. Though this was not in our planned itinerary, we decided to stop by and take a quick look.
This farm is 100% family-owned and all the delicious homemade Australian jams, chutneys, gourmet relishes, and sauces are made right here. Since 1839, six generations of the family have lived and farmed on the Beerenberg Family Farm.
We thought we could do some strawberry picking but to our disappointment, it's not available today.
The on-site farm shop sells their 100% Australian-made jams, chutneys, gourmet relishes and sauces. Looking at the mini strawberry jam bottle, we vaguely remember seeing it on board our SQ flight.
