On our way back to Adelaide city, we took a rest stop at Windy Point Lookout.
Here we had an awesome view of the Adelaide hills and coastline.Known by the early European settlers as Observation Point, Windy Point became a familiar rest stop where panoramic views to St Vincent's Gulf and across the plains to the Adelaide Hills could be enjoyed.
Windy Point became more accessible when Belair Road was rerouted in 1865.
