21 Dec 2025 - TPE Day 1: Check-in to NYS Loft Hotel (南陽街壹號旅店)

Our accommodation in Taipei for the upcoming 3 nights is NYS Loft Hotel, located along Nanyang Street. The hotel is located in Zhongzheng District and is only a 5-minute walk from the Exit M6 of Taipei Main Station. The hotel is set just opposite the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store and there are lots of shopping and dining options in the surrounding areas. 

It's a 3-star hotel/hostel-style accommodation and its design blends modern industrial elements with practical comfort for both short tourism stays and extended visits.

The hotel offers a variety of room configurations, whereby some rooms are more hostel-like with shared bathrooms, while others include private bathrooms

We had booked a family room with two double beds and a private bathroom. Our timing was perfect as we arrived at the hotel around 3pm, which is the official check-in time.

After taking a short break in the room, our adventures began.....
