24 Dec 2025 - KHH Day 4: Liuhe Night Market (六合夜市)

From Formosa Boulevard station, it's a 5 minutes' walk to Liuhe Night Market (六合夜市).
By about 5–6 PM, barriers close the road to traffic and the market begins to take shape. Neon signs flicker to life and dozens of food stalls line both sides of the street, setting up a maze of sizzling woks, grills, and smiling vendors ready to serve up everything from classic Taiwanese snacks to seafood specialties.
If there’s one place in Kaohsiung that promises a true Taiwanese street food adventure, it’s Liuhe Night Market. Stretching along Liuhe 2nd Road in the heart of the city’s Xinxing District, this lively night market transforms a normal city street into a pedestrian-only parade of flavours, lights, and local culture each evening.
Liuhe Night Market in Kaohsiung offers a delicious, fun-filled snapshot of Taiwanese street food culture. The mix of fresh seafood, classic snacks, refreshing drinks, and friendly energy makes it a perfect stop for dinner, dessert, or just wandering under neon lights.
Though we were still quite full as we just had our dinner less than 2 hours ago, we couldn't resist and bought some local delights, which we would consume later in the comfort of our room.
