28 Dec 2025 - TNN Day 8: Bus 98 Ride to Cigu (七股)

As Tainan does not have a MRT system currently, we decided to buy a Day Pass for Bus 98 that will bring us to various attractions in Tainan. We bought tickets using Klook app and were given a QR code.  With it, we needed to self-collect the actual bus tickets from a kiosk at a FamilyMart store near Tainan train station, which was within walking distance from our hotel.

After we collected our bus tickets, we proceeded to a nearby bus-stop to wait for the bus. Do note that the frequency of this bus was quite bad. If we missed the bus, the next one will be an hour later.  As such, we had to ensure we were at the bus-stop before the scheduled arrival time, and hope that the bus was punctual.

Our first destination for the day was to Cigu Salt Mountain. It was a long journey there, about 1 hour 45 minutes.

The route passed through Anping district before reaching the Taiwan Salt Museum and Cigu Salt Mountain.
