After our lunch at Taichung Second Market, we took a little stroll along Liuchuan Riverside Walk. Once an ordinary urban canal, Liuchuan has been transformed into a beautifully landscaped pedestrian walkway. The revitalization project turned what used to be a neglected waterway into one of Taichung’s most charming city strolls.
Unlike the busy shopping districts, Liuchuan offered a slower pace, shaded seating areas and spots for photos.
Just a short distance away, our mood shifted completely as we arrived at Taichung Animate Store. From a tranquil riverside walk, we were now in full anime immersion.
Stepping into Animate felt like entering a slice of Akihabara in Taiwan. Shelves were neatly organized by series, and seasonal promotional displays dominated the entrance. This store is compact but well-stocked.
