From Taichung Train Station, we followed the direction on Google map and walked towards the hotel where we will be staying for 2 nights.
Along the way, we passed by the old Taichung train station, which is now a preserved 1917 Renaissance-style landmark built during Japanese rule, featuring a distinctive red-brick facade, white plaster detailing, and an iconic central clock towerThere was a big open space outside the train station with quite a number of Art Sculpture and Christmas decoration.
After walking for about 5 minutes from the train station, we arrived at 53 Hotel Taichung (寶島53行館). As it was too early to check in to our room, we left our luggage at the concierge and started exploring the surrounding area.
We decided to walk towards Taichung Second Market, hoping to find some nice food for lunch.
