As we could not find a proper dinner place around Pier-2 Art Center, we took the light rail from Love Pier station to Dream Mall, the largest shopping mall in Taiwan. It’s an all-in-one lifestyle complex where shopping, dining, entertainment, and city views come together under one enormous roof.
We had CoCo ICHIBANYA curry rice at the mall basement for dinner. There was a long queue, but the wait is well worth it.The mall is huge and it's especially popular for family-friendly stores and toy shops, trendy fashion outlets and seasonal pop-up stores and themed displays.
Dream Mall’s most iconic feature is undoubtedly its giant rooftop Ferris wheel, visible from afar and especially striking at night.
Dream Mall’s rooftop is also home to a dinosaur-themed entertainment area officially called the “Dinosaur Exploration Park”. There were over a dozen lifelike dinosaur figures, from towering T-Rexes to friendly herbivores. As it was already quite late, most of the rides had closed for the day.As it's getting late, we did not have much time to shop around the mall. Anyway, shopping in a mall is not our "thing". We prefer to go to "shop" at some night markets for local delights. :-)
